CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs have agreed to one-year contracts with outfielder Nate Schierholtz, infielder Luis Valbuena and relievers James Russell and Pedro Strop, avoiding arbitration. Russell is due $1,775,000 and Strop $1,325,000.
